Longlands is a secluded country house half way between Hay-on-Wye and Clyro. It is tucked into the side of a hill, and faces south-west with stunning views up the Wye valley to the Brecon Beacons and Pen y Fan in the distance. There is a stone-flagged terrace in front of the house, and five minutes walk takes one down to the banks of the Wye.

Accomodation:
One enters the house through the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric cooker as well as an oil-fired range which also heats the water and runs the heating system. To the right is a large sitting/dining room with comfortable sofas, television and an open log fire. Maximum sleeping capacity is ten, with two double rooms, one with a four-poster bed, and three twin rooms. There are two bathrooms.

Things to do:
There are many activities in the Hay area, including walking, pony-trekking and canoeing. Hay-on-Wye itself has much to offer apart from its world-famous bookshops, and there are several good pubs and restaurants within easy reach.
